Accommodation

When going to study abroad, you can choose from a few accommodation options: homestay with a local host family, which is always very good for your linguistic progress, residential – a dormitory, an apartment, or at a hotel (usually more expensive), or on campuses of private boarding schools, which is typical of fully organized summer camps. In many cases, these are very old, traditional and prestigious institutions like Radley, Shrewsbury, Winchester, Harrow or Wellington. Among their graduates, you can find many famous people, for instance, Charles Darwin in Shrewsbury, or Rishi Sunak – current Prime Minister of Great Britain – in Winchester.

If you choose to stay with a host family, you can opt for breakfast or dinner. In the second case, you go back home for the evening meal and continue speaking the language with your host family. Homestay is usually a great choice for teenagers. In the summer there are usually several students staying with one host family.

Combined with a prepratory language course in Poland, language trips are an excellent motivator for further progress.
